What are Wellbeing walks?
In addition to our Get Up and Go walks the council also coordinates a Wellbeing walks programme, which was formally known as Walking to health.
Wellbeing walks vary from 10 - 90 minutes maximum, and most walk have a shorter option available.
The walks are led by trained volunteer walk leaders and many of our regular walks have been going for years! New walkers are always welcomed as well as any one wanting to become a walk leader (scroll down this page).
To find a local walk visit the Havant wellbeing walks page which shows our current walks and next dates.
Seeking volunteer walk leaders!
We are looking for people to join us as volunteer walk leaders on our Wellbeing walks programme. We only have 5 walks in the borough and keen to expand this to include buggy walks, family walks, history walks, nature inspired, women's and men only walks. The ideas are endless !
Wellbeing Walks are short, sociable walks lasting between 10 - 90 minutes. Training is free to do and includes an online module, followed by three hours of in-person training.
The next in-person training session will take place in September and October 2023 in Petersfield. Once you’ve done your training, you can help with existing walks or set up your own! I would be here to help!
