Qigong (pronounced chee gong), is an ancient form of exercise from China. It consists of a combination of mindful movements, still postures, meditation, and breathing techniques. Qigong is a holistic practice that connects mind, body, and spirit. Similarly to other traditional Chinese practices, qigong derives from the idea that qi, or life force, flows through the body. If qi becomes blocked, stagnant, or flows too quickly, it can lead to health issues. Qigong aims to restore this balance within the body. Qigong has four components: breathing techniques body postures guided imagery meditation Come along to this FREE taster session to find out more and have a go! Wednesday 12th March, 12pm - 1pm with local instructor Jamie Beaton If you enjoy the course, there will be an opportunity to continue, on a 4 week course for just £20, starting the following week (see other listing).
